Choose a stamp format
Choose by value
“Wedding stamp” describes a look, not a postage amount. Read what the stamp covers, then compare that value with your checker result.
One stamp
A Forever stamp carries the current First-Class Mail one-ounce letter value. A Two Ounce stamp—or another rate-labeled stamp—carries the value of the category printed on it. Use a single stamp only when its value covers your result.
A combination
You can pair Forever or rate-labeled stamps with denominated U.S. stamps. The total postage must equal at least the amount you need. Place stamps in the upper-right corner and do not overlap them.
Vintage postage
Valid, intact denominated U.S. stamps contribute the face values printed on them. If you are unsure whether an older stamp is genuine or usable, ask at a Post Office before relying on it for the full mailing.
Your stamp plan
01 · Find the amount
Find my invitation’s postage amount with the finished invitation checker. If it asks for physical review, pause the stamp purchase until one sample has been checked in person.
02 · Choose the format
A single stamp is simpler. A combination gives you more design flexibility. Either approach works when the postage value is sufficient.
03 · Choose the artwork
The design does not change the postage value. Wedding-themed, floral, modern, or vintage-looking postage can all work when the stamps themselves are valid and the total value is enough.
